That engine is a long way from home. That’s a Somerset and Dorset 7F, built to run on the line from Bournemouth West to Bath Green Park, and in the process passing through Cole, which is about five miles from my house :surprised:

Certainly looks like a great weekend. The last (only) time I went to Sheringham it was blowing a gale and raining horizontally! I remember that ironmonger though, really good range of stuff.

YES pete norfolk whether can be a bugger but love sheringham a lovely little town an boatin lake no wonder there is loads of holl makers

You want to see the images of Weymouth and Portland Chris. It was one of the launch points for the Invasion. Thousand of US troops about. You can't win war without friends. (As Russia will hopefully find).

HI Tim glad you liked the pics an yes we really enjoyed the day would have been nice to have gone both days but we went on sat to henham steam rally an i will post a few pics but back to the 1940 wk end there was so much goin on brilliant day that an will look forward to next yr

WELL Tim glad to see you up on your loco's as i wont have known but them sheringham train boys love their loco's as i think they have about 4 of them but my fav is the big exspress loco

Somerset and Dorset in the 1950s was my second love when it came to railways Chris ;) . First love was London and South Western Railways (not the modern travesty) between about 1900 and 1912……
