Just a little plug for our club, its our open day on Saturday 3rd May where we open our doors to the public, everyone is more than welcome to pop along have a chat, and a cup of tea and a biscuit. We're opening the doors 12 -4pm this year so if your in the area come say hello :)

just thought id mention that its the ipms gloucester show on this sunday the 11th may, do reilise conflicts with Hendon but hope some members may be able to make it, got some great traders including dave who does all the decals at the shows!!!
 
There's probably no one in my neck of the woods but I thought I'd mention that the Torbay model show is on at the Torquay town hall on the 24th of May , it's my first event and I've heard it's quite good and I've noticed a lot of you good folks who have been to these things pick up some right bargains so I'm saving some dosh to see what's on offer :)

Yeah Ron I used to go to memorabilia fares about 10 yeahs ago when I collected static models you find some good stuff in those boxes :D

Hi all. Just noticed the West Norfolk Show at Downham Market is on in a couple of weeks, which is not far from me. Has anyone been to this at all? For once I may have some disposable income available - do many traders attend?

Now I know why I married my wife , she has just booked three nights for us so I can go to the IPMS Telford show on the 9th and 10th November , :) I've told her not to forget her purse :D

Yes, I know this should be in 'chit chat', but is it true you have to be a member of IPMS before you can even get in this event ?

No mate it just means you get in free :) anyone can go and if your not a member it cost about £30 for the two days

If your a member not only do you get I. Free for both days you get in at 9 instead of 10 and you go in through the back door and you don't have to queue up and guess what ? I'm a member and so is SWMBO :)

I'm really looking forward to it , I've been told so much about it that I had to go some time but SWMBO told me it was to close to christmas blah blah and then she does this , she's a so deviant some times lol

Maybe we will bump into each other :)
 
I'm giving serious thought to going...tried three years ago, but got there late and couldn't get within miles of the place......lessen learned!

A while to go yet, but a good suggestion from Alan to perhaps meet up?
 
I know some of those attending arrange to meet up, last year we met at the café, thing is there are two so it was a split meeting :) I'll be there both days manning our club stand so can meet anytime :)

We are going down on the Friday and going back on the Monday , if you are thinking of going the day before book now as the only place close to it is the premier inn everywhere else is fully booked.

Be good too meet up :)
