Hi all as we've seen from Rons earler thread the Shropshire Model Show at RAF Cosford is on sunday 12th April . I think weve got around 8 or 9 definites so far but if anyone else is coming , give us a shout and let us know. We plan to meet under the wing of the Vulcan in the Cold war exhibition Hangar at 12 o clock just like usual . The last couple of years weve had a bit of a free raffle , prizes being donated by several members , but this time We thought it would be fun to have a Stash Swap . We've all got kits in our stash that we've had for years and never built and probably never will , sometimes we dont even know how they ended up in there !! The idea is for anyone who wants to participate to bring a COMPLETE AND UNSTARTED kit from their stash and exchange it for someone elses , the method of choice being a random draw . If we say that the kit should be no more than £ 10 in value then it should keep things fair . Each member will be given a number which will be drawn out and paired to another , a bit like the FA cup draw but ours wont be a load of balls!! The upshot of all this is you'll come away with a kit that you didnt expect ,and variety is the spice of life so lets spice it up a bit!! I'll bring two just in case we end up with an odd number of entrants , so whos up for it? time to throw your hat into the ring . cheers Tony

No it doesnt matter Andrew , its a random draw , whoevers number gets drawn , then thats the one you'll get

We are looking at complete and unstarted kits here Tony? Not the ones we got half way through then abandoned or the 'bargains' we found in a charity shop which have half the bits missing?

Personally I will be donating complete,untouched kits to the raffle.I wouldn't want something incomplete or half built myself,so Wouldnt give anything in that condition.

Well its this sunday so any more takers for the stash swap when we meet up ? by my reckoning theres six of us at the moment , anyone else fancy trading something out of the stash ? See start of thread for details but a quick summary is - an unstarted ,complete kit costing roughly not more than a tenner to be brought out of your stash and swapped for a random picked one that someone else has brought. Gives us a chance to maybe build something we might not ordinarily have gone for . As usual well be meeting on the walkway under the vulcans wing at twelve o clock , then into the cafe for drinks and bunfight ! see you there cheers tony

I will be there, but do have a bad habit of forgetting the meet ups lol, seem to get to busy looking around and forget all sense of time!!! I will try bring a kit and set an alarm lol hopefully that will work this time????
