Yes that’s true. Mrs B has an amazing knack of using every wooden spoon and saucepan when cooking....I’ve tried training but it normally ends with me being ushered from the kitchen :smiling5:

Using all the tools in the kitchen - she is down there now - lost three dogs and a pair of wellies, sounds like a mad mans drum kit, I need a cup of tea, but there is no way I am venturing into that madhouse,

Nice modifications too, did the kit have the mesh PE or was it AM?

It can get a bit messy when the rabble are feeding! You timed it right, most are sleeping off their Sunday lunch!


The kits came with the mesh screen, exhaust shield and the sliding part that goes under the mesh screen...

Tonight update inbound......


So with some questions answered about the details, I set to adding a couple of bits.
First up was the extra track holding clamp on the rear hull...






Then made up the missing two hooks that should be on the rear hatch, for the tow cables to be hung on...I remember Mike C, saying about flattening copper wire, so I had a go myself to make the hooks. The exact positions are a bit hazy as there seem to be small differences between vehicles made at different factory’s. So somewhere on the rear hatch seems the norm:smiling5:



Side skirts attached, leaving one piece out one each side.



And then she gets her little trunk!


So very nearly there now, just the MG mounted up top and it’s pretty much done

Get another, we have two and a half Bassets, the other half is Beagle, and came with the Beagle attitude, but she is starting to settle now, cost a fortune in vallium and other relaxing non medicines....

The kit plastic isn’t really that yellow. That blue background seems to make it look worse....think I’m going to look into a light tent thing:smiling3::thinking:


Ok, so it’s done:smiling4:






It’s all together apart from tow cables which I’m in the process of making. As mentioned, the wheel and tracks are not glued up, neither is the hull top and bottom or the MG so I can pull it apart for paint.

A very quick simple build. I’m going to ditch the Tamiya paint and go for airbrushing acrylic , something which historically gives me trouble!

How come you get the tracks and the wheels to come off to paint. I know the tracks are glued but getting those wheels all lined up !?
I now wash my model before painting, just to get any grease of from handling, before I would always have blochy paint . Do find that a drop of Vallejo flow improver has made life so much easier , no blocked jets .

Now where's that other piece of cake that Steve gave me ?

I used bluetac to hold the wheels on to their spindles then got the tracks assembled. Once tracks had dried I carefully pull all the wheels off and remove the bluetac.
It’s worked well on this kit as the wheels are few and big!

If you look you’ll see strips of masking tape across the wheels, holding everything in place. That was just to take a picture of the whole thing without everything dropping off!

Also been experimenting with Vallejo flow improver recently....and getting reasonable results:smiling3:

I’d probably avoid the cake mate....might be a bit fluffy:tongue-out2:

Thanks Si , when ever I try that the bloody wheels fall off, that's why with the Panzer 1 I glued the things on ! Glad the flow improver is working .
