Si & Steve's Animal Antics GB: Oct 2019 - March 2020 Chat thread.

Oh crikey! I've been eeneeminiemyneemowing and still haven't stopped at what to select :smiling6: ... only 7 weeks to go...

Cheers,
Richard
Don’t worry Richard....I’m still pondering which kit to build too!

Oh well not alone then Si.
Will have to have 3 builds on the go, as joining StuGmisters group build as well .:nerd::smiling5:

I think I’d like to join in on this, if you’ll have me.

I have a choice of four, with a sea hornet, swordfish and scimitar (a type of oryx) losing out to a sea harrier.

This will be my entry:

I will be representing a plane from HMS Invincible.
I have some PE and resin and am undecided which I’ll go for. I’ll make a decision when I get cracking.

Thanks.

Nice choice. I built this some years ago and remember it being a tidy kit, no real trouble.

Good news! However, I fear I’m over complicating it with the AM!
I’m even contemplating pushing my limited skills to the limit and mixing the resin and PE.....we’ll see!

Hi Chris,
We’d love to have you join in , everyone is more than welcome :smiling4:
As we get closer to the starting date I’ll give everyone joining in a nudge.

Hi Si & Steve can I join in with the big boys on your GB. I promise it won't be a toon tank. Back to1/35 if I can remember how to build them.
Pete

Hi Pete,
Of course you can join in, your very welcome.
You’ve still got plenty of time to choose what to build:smiling4:

Afternoon Si

Me thinks the new Tamiya Hummel (bummbel bee) will do?

Permission to come on board

Its not all Stugs you know lol

A’noon Bob,
Permission granted mate:smiling5:
The new Tamiya Hummel looks to be a nice kit going by the reviews and I really like the look of the link and length tracks with some sag moulded in:smiling4:

Hopefully you won’t get StuG withdrawals during the build :nerd:

Looks superb in the box, got the metal barell as well.

As the marder went well, hoping to do the same!

Had another look in the stash and found a Revell kit with 3 camo options,

Or maybe this one,

I kinda really like this one though,

Lots of camo schemes in that lot Allen! How on earth you’ll get tracks on any of that lot is beyond me:tongue-out:

Oh yes it is the big day in the Jones household.... Word is that Steve has been super detailing the wedding cake with rivets and pieces of styrene strip & rod:smiling5:

Should have saved my Whippet build for this!

Will see if I can find something suitable and maybe tag along if I have the time.

Thanks for the comments guys. We all had a wonderful day and the weather was very kind to us. Managed to get back home around 2 this morning. Still a little hung over but easing my way back into things watching the Ashes highlights. Will hopefully be back at the bench tomorrow
