Morning all,

this will be my second entry, a 120mm resin flat from Mil-Mart

This is the colour reference card you get with it showing what he should look like in the end

this is what he looks like in the nude - bare resin rather than the traditional white metal usually used for flats. Much nicer to work with and just minimal clean up required around the edges

and this is what he looks like after some matt black Halfords primer

Now all I have to do is make him look like the top picture......

There's no stopping him! Great to see this Simon. I've never done a flat myself and will watch with keen interest.

Have a look at their website Peter
With your quality painting you’re bound to do a good job with them

Thanks Simon. Site visited, flat ordered. Ready to join the GB.

Looking forward to this Simon :smiling3:.
Here is a MilMart flat I did a couple of years ago.

Don’t remember seeing that one on their site Ralph

I did the WW1 officer last year and I have two or three others in the stash. Also have some older metal flats but they are the smaller ones around 30mm

It must be discontinued.
I could not cope with 30mm flats.

Hi Simon
We don't see many 'flats' painted, which is a shame. Nice that Peter has ordered one - his painting is the gold standard. Wasn't there someone briefly on the old forum who painted flats?

Hi Jim - my attempts will pale into insignificance compared to Peters :smiling2:

I did one on the site that must not be named - only other one I remember was Carlos

It was the chap from Holland whose name escapes me. I'm sure someone will remember
