hi all need some ideas on a smallish fold able desk and storage with shelf's,
not much to ask for as the spots i have tried to setup old grummpy puts an end to them,
i do have an idea or two as well just see what else i can do have about a 1m l x can come off the wall by aout 400mm and have a flod up or down part as well
of 200 to 400 mm as well

Have you considered mounting some of your equipment/tools in small boxes or trays attached to the underside of the work surface with a rudimentary 'gymbal' system that allows them to rotate down? Alternatively, make shallow trays in drawer-type runners (a simple peg or two, or magnet will stop them falling as the work surface folds down) Made both in the past and both systems work well! Good luck with Grumpy!

Sounds like an old fashion writing desk, is just what you need.

Ikea do a small folding desk, see linky:

Something similar could easily be made.
Or as others have suggested some sort of folding picnic table, although they might be a bit "wobbly"?
