Southwell model expo on Sunday 14th October

Hi mike , I put a post on the 'shows and events' thread about a week ago about this one. Its a great show with free admission and parking , traders ,club stands and a refreshment bar /cafe . The open competition costs about £1 per model i think ,( its a couple of years ago since i dared to enter one , I didnt win anything btw!) Ill be going and i think Ian (papa 695) is coming too . Ill put a reminder on the shows thread a few days before so maybe well see you there, cheers tony

Is the open competition for any type of model not just military and when is the competition side of things normally start, Also traders who's coming along.
Hi ben , the comp has loads of different categories so its anything really , as for the traders I dont know exactly who will be there but theres usually a good selection , plus you can always get some good bargaions under the club tables , being sold by the members. tony

I think the models entered into the show itself have to be in by 1200 Hrs. that`s 12 o`clock in civilian.
Presentation to winners is usually around 1600 Hrs. 4 o`clock in civilian.

Just a quick heads up about the Lincoln and newark model club Expo . This is a great event held at the racecourse at Southwell ,Notts. Admission and car parking is free (well it was the last 3 years) and there are traders , club stands , an open to anyone competition and a bar/cafe . Its all held in the function rooms under the grandstand , ive been the last few years and its excellent . Ill be there so if anyone else is going then let me know and we can meet up for a coffee (or beer if youre lucky enough to not be driving)and a chinwag. I might even enter something in the comp ! The address and day /time is--- Expo 2012 , Venue: Southwell Race Course, Rolleston, NG25 0TS , Sunday October 14th 10 am - 4 pm ,, cheers tony , . p.s .Ill post a reminder a few days before.
