Thanks chaps.
The 170 odd parts kit is manufactured in the Ukraine. Cheap as chips and that appealed to me!
I'm not going to paint the tank green but in an Iraqi sand colour. I intend to destroy it along the lines of the Abrams I did a while back. Just when. I haven't decided.

I've made a start no matter what it's future fate.
I tried to stick the bits together whilst the parts were green - No thanks! So before I progressed any further I brushed on a rough first coat of Vallejo Desert sand acrylics. I've also painted a primer coat on to the track links.

I constructed this part before I got fed up with the green plastic.

453 -
Thank you for your recent enquiries.
Initially I might make the tank complete and untouched. There will be little or no rust. However sometime or other it will end up destroyed, so yes, fire damage will be present - in fact it'll be totally kna****ed!

I've just roughly painted the sprues to hide that awful green plastic. I'll just scrape the paint off where the glue will be applied.

I hope the above goes some way to answer your questions. Should you require any more assistance in this matter don't waste any more of my time but contact....

Thanks chaps, but I really think you should all queue up outside specsavers!..... :tongue-out3:

Lower hull second coated - and a wheel to straighten. :upside:

Turret finished ready for some more paint.
View attachment 326734

Lower hull second coated and ready for the small bits. A bit of work is needed on the front edge, that wasn't my cack handedness, the upper hull was loose in the box. I'll sort that when the two hull pieces are glued together.

All a bit rough just yet, but although they can't really be seen, brush painting produces some nice shading and tone differences as each coat of paint is applied.

Cheers all.

Hi Ron
Coming on nicely. Always starts off in a seemingly rough and ready way and yet we know your work looks great when complete.

Thanks boys.
I'll build the model complete first, then I'll have a think what to do afterwards.

Cold, wet and b****y miserable outside, so big excuses to be in my den..... :thumb2:

Final coat of brushed on Vallejo Model Air Desert Sand added and violet/grey for the 'wheels'.

....a loose fit. Headlights etc. still to do.

Oops, forgot the wayward wheels, also I've spotted the handrails need some more cleaning up.

Cheers all.
