Thanks boys!

I'm looking forward to seeing how it comes together too, 'cos at the minute I haven't got a clue!

Jim, I've insisted the wife wears night goggles throughout the day ( Kinky or what?), so at least she will be prepared for any chucking at a later time.

Cheers all.

Thanks Tony.
Update.
I've joined the two halves of the fuselage together.

Prop. blades cut off too.

Please don't look closely at the ham fisted joints and the like. It'll be dark!

The very old decals were almost worse than useless, they all collapsed into 'Millions' of bits! I've stuck them on as best I can. Due to the theme of the build (Night time) I could probably have left them all off. But, bad though they all were, I thought it best to fix them on - Just in case some might be seen through the murk.....

Thankfully, after joining the fuselage together, the lights still work.

Next up will be the canopies. this will complete the aircraft. Then I can have me a thunk about the bases and various surroundings.....Big Sweat!

I've just found this Ron, It's an interesting idea, looking forward to seeing how you make it work.

Thanks Graeme.
You can sit in the front gunners seat, if you want.

Guess what? I'm looking forward to seeing how it works too, 'cos as I've rit earlier, I have only a sketchy idea if, or how I can do it.......period!

Thanks Steve. I'll need all the luck I can muster!

Update.....
The aircraft is now finished.

Please note, there are decals I've omitted, some seams could be better. The list is a long one, but as most shots will be in dark or semi dark, all short comings should be hidden from prying eyes and zoom merchants!

Thanks chaps...

I've started work on the dam and its surroundings.
I penciled the shape and then painted the dam on a length of card, cut out the outline and overflow openings etc, and then rested it in front of a large piece of black card.

This image is obviously way too light. I'll see how it looks when Mr. Sun has gone to bo- bo's!

Early days yet, but it's a start.

Cheers Jim.
As the attack was at night, I'm hoping the final frame will be more of a 'Silly Wet' of the dam, rather than what you see above.

Also, I need to iron out the lake surface a tad.

The trouble is, at this time of year it doesn't go dark 'till quite late. A bit past this old farts bed time. So one evening soon I'll have to try and stay up and take some darkness shots!

Thanks for the continued interest.

Dont know what theyre on about with the hosepipe ban , that dam looks full to me! Nice work matey

Thanks for the input Paul and Tony.

Second go....and onwards with the 'Cunning Plan'1

The outline of the dam looks a bit wonky. This is due to the paper I painted the dam on warping a bit. a good ironing will sort things out - If I knew how to use one, that is!

Before it gets too warm today, I've had a mess about with the dam and darkened the structure and darkened the wooded areas either side of the dam.

I also flattened out the water a tad.

The photo was taken around the same time as the previous image, so just a bit of extra black paint makes a fair bit of difference....

I will see how it looks at dusk tonight.

Later 'I'll add the aircraft and then see where I can 'Fettle' things a bit more.

Getting there slowly - Hopefully!

Cheers,
Ron
