Guilty of profiling -? Mea culpa ! - is Lincolnshire in England ? ( sorry, couldn't resist a final jibe!). Apologies to all Scots wha hae! One of my best oppo's came from Prestonpans and in his cups would mutter things like (phonetically) "English bastats!" never forgave the disbandment of his Regiment. In the Navy the officers and grunts go into battle together in a tin boat
In the Army the officers send the grunts to charge machine guns
In the Royal Air force the grunts send the officers into battle whilst retiring to the safety of the hotel bar

You could always do what a woman in Yorkshire did, stand at the side of the road in a yellow high-vis jacket while pointing a hairdryer at the offenders!

A trend over here, which started off small and was quite effective was to leave a small child's bike on the path by the road. It does make you slow down a bit. However now it has gotten to the point that in small hamlets around the back roads are littered with them, kind of takes the threat away a bit.
