Spots on the Internet 2020

On the Zvezda Facebook page - test build of their C-130H in 1/72 -'available soon'

On the MiniArt Facebook, website & email shot - 'in process'

On the ICM website - boxart for upcoming models....................
I wonder why ICM chose to model the Luftwaffe version first? -I'd be more inclined to go for an Italian original..............

Nice to see more female figures.
That CR 42 looks really nice. Does anyone fancy having a go at that paint job? (Don't look at me, I'm still trying to master single colours!)

Dave,
it's in 1/32, so you have a chance! - 1/48?, just maybe - 1/72? hahahahaha.............

On the Zvezda Facebook page - a teaser - 'not in the 2020 catalog' - soon release

Not a new model, but a reboxing, with accessories & what seems to be a lot of post-war finishes.

That corner looks suspiciously like a Shilka, but what do i know :smiling5:
I was wondering what it is myself, but I don’t think it’s a ZSU-23-4. The side slopes or curves inward, while the ZSU-23-4’s is vertical, and I’ve never seem a side skirt like that on one of them. I also don’t think it’s a BMP, again because of the side skirt, or a BMD, because of the sloped side and the skirt. I can’t place it :(

Well, all was revealed a short time ago!
zvezda shilka 01.jpgzvezda shilka 02.jpg

It's not THAT exciting, as Zvezda do say that it is 'based on the Dragon model' At least they're up front about it!

Argh, it’s the upper rear turret side, not the hull side I took it for

On the Meng Facebook page - a toon PLA J-15meng toon j-15 02.jpg

A BAR with a carrying handle? Oh, that did exist but it seems it’s out of place for almost (see that link) any Second World War weapon. I also have my doubts about the flash hider on the M3 submachine gun. Korea, yes. Second World War? Probably not.

And what is that small pistol? I’d almost say a TT, but it’s not, and in any case that would be … unlikely in a US equipment set :)

Jakko,
the small pistol looks like the Colt Model 1903 Pocket, which was issued to general officers. The M3 smg could be fitted with a flash hider, but not seen very often ( remove with scalpel )

Small Pistol , colt m1903 , issued to officers , easily concealed.
Flash hiders made and issued in ww2 ( m9 flash hider for m3 grease gun )

I know a flash hider could be fitted to it, I’m just not sure it saw much use in that war :) Didn’t recognize the pistol, and it does seem a bit niche for a set like this. But OTOH, where else would you find one for your figure of a four-star general? :)

Lol, The Meng version is a superb kit, but a bit over complicated ion places, Suppose it will depend how much is based on the dragon kit, which if i remember correctly wasnt that accurate. Box art, although action packed is a bit strange, firing those mighty canons with your own aircraft in the sky could be a bit risky and where are all those shells flying in the air coming from. The spent shells (cartridges) are expelled down and sideways from the canon ejectors. Youtube clip

Fom an emailshot from MiniArt - coming soon
miniart tractor mod 1937.jpg
