Spots on the Internet (2022)

AFV Club have announced a Vietnam-era gun truck:

They already did the basic M54 as well as a gun truck with a stripped M113 hull in the back, but this is the earlier type of gun truck with armour plating around the cargo bed. Eve of Destruction, BTW, is the only surviving original example of these vehicles.

I reckon they're only miniature bottles, but still looks pretty good!
I wonder how long it'll be before one of the bigger manufacturers picks up on this method?
Dave

I reckon they're only miniature bottles,
According to some searching, that Reyka bottle appears to be 70 cl, and the Balzams is probably 50 cl — that’s to say, they’re likely not miniature bottles of the kind you might find in a hotel fridge.

Certainly will Dave. Begs the question though….would you really want to fly through a tethered balloon in one of them…..it must have been all to easy to bring the tethered balloon down onto the airframe.

As purely a matter of information this maker has released this

All new tooling - might have interested me a year ago, but not now - silly of me, but buying anything that might give foreign currency to those people is not on.
Dave

I'd like to see Tamiya make an updated kit of this!
Like you Dave, I won't purchase anything from over that border, not now.

Wow, I love aubergines!
Waiting for the "aubergines' all-in-one colour and weathering set". :tongue-out3:
Hope MiniArt will forgive me, they can handle non-sympathetic people quite roughly these days. :fearful: :smiling4:

Actually, I like that colour scheme…..it’s got a bit of fun about it….

Oddly enough Aubergines apparently have only become popular in Germany in the last decade or so & only just been started to be home grown - you associate Germany more with beets, cabbage & potatoes

Not exactly a spot - but there are a fair few Hobby2000 models coming onto the market - for those who haven't heard of them

There is absolutely nothing wrong, with reboxing, but you should be aware that these are Hasegawa, Dragon & other makers models with new decals & paint masks ( I don't think there are any new parts ) It pays to check with Scalemates. As I say reboxing is fine, just be aware of their origin!

Here is something that has slipped under the radar ( at least, my radar )
xtrakit saunders.jpg
There has been a vacform & a resin model, but this is the first injection moulded model of this prototype! Moulds by Sword, decals by Techmod, 3D printed parts by Kits World - it has quite a pedigree ( It also has kabuki paint masks ). It can be built in 3 ways, in flight, with beaching gear & most unusual as a waterline version.
This is rather unexpected - there are various comments on the net, but it seems to be so new, that there are no actual pictures, let alone reviews yet, price around £27.
Never mind the Luftwaffe 1946 & paper aircraft - 3 of these actually flew! :thumb2:
