Morning One And All,

Yesterday I attended the annual show at the Stammheim museum here in Bayern. It's about 40 minutes away and sits between Schweinfurt and Würzburg Germany. Last year it was sweltering hot, but this year it was cooler with a little rain. I will start out with posting photos of the models on various club displays. There is a competition, but it is today so I have no pics of the entries. It was also very dark in the museum and too difficult to get pics in there. Pics are in no particular order and I have made some notes for some of them.

This will take a while, so please hold all comments till this afternoon, after I have posted them all. I am old and easily confused too! Thank you for your understanding………………….

A couple of rockets, but no V2's I'm afraid. The rocket in the second pic is cut off at the top. So sorry, but I think we have all seen pictures of a tactical nuclear warhead, or???

Lastly, 3 pics of R/C tanks that are (I think) 1/10 scale. The Tiger I in the first pic weighs 110 Kilos. That's even more than Stevie!!!

That's all there is folks so stop yawning and go have a lie down I hope you enjoyed them. It was a super day and I didn't buy any kits? See my post in the latest acquisitions for the rest of the story!!!!!!!!!! Any questions, please ask???

Thanks for posting these Allen! I really appreciated that you took time to shoot some pics. for us modeling minorities! LOL. Was the show well attended? Cheers, Rick H.

Allen,
Hope you had a great time some real nice builds on show, Thanks for all the pictures especially of the kitchen the mobile oven looks good I wonder if anyone does a kit?

Hi Rick,

You're more than welcome my friend. There were a few more small displays of 1/87 scale work, but the lighting was so bad and the flash wouldn't have worked well either. I couldn't get any pics. It was hard to say how many people were there, but it wasn't overcrowded at all.

Hi Paul,

Thanks, I had a great time and if you want to have a go with the oven, CMK make a resin kit of it. The kit is RA-043, Sd.Anh 105 Feldofen and looks like this,
1563114711646.png

I can't quote you a price though.....

Just had a look and it retails for €45 and this kit has a round oven housing, not rectangular. There were various styles….

Thanks for sharing. I noticed he had the Bailey bridge assembled doubled up with the extender kit. I believe that's a Nike Hercules anti aircraft rocket from the 60s. PaulE

Thanks Allen, One day I hope to have a go at scratch building a vehicle and that looks like a nice little project to have a go at.

Hey PaulE, You and I know it's a Nike and didn't have a tactical nuke on it. Range was way too short. Nobody else caught the the joke though. Can't really say on the Bailey my friend, but I'm glad you liked the pics!

Paul, You're welcome and if anyone could do it, it would be you! If you decide to have a go at it, drop me a mail and I'll dig up as much info and pics as I can for you...…..

Hi Allen, some nice builds there and thanks for sharing and taking the piccies. The collection of 1/87 scale displays is a lot. Lighting is always a problem at large halls with high ceiling.

Cheers,
Richard

Thanks for sharing the photos Allen, many great builds to see there:smiling4:.

Was that M16 GMC the 1/16th one? If so neat looking engine detail, hope I can achieve that if I ever get mine to the bench.

Neat that the show was in a museum and you got some first-hand ref pics for your Opel Blitz, always cool capture the info you're looking for by yourself:nerd:.

Good man too for keeping yourself in check and not buying anymore kits:thumb2::thumb2:.

Thread owner
You are welcome Richard and it was tough inside to get good pics. The 1/87 L-shaped table with all of the vehicles was set in a corner and behind the bridge was a 1/1 workshop display with very little lighting for the effect. The museum is really cool, but with all the tables for the clubs and vendors, it gets tight in the aisles to move about....

It was a 1/16 kit of the M-16 Fernando and it was very nicely finished. I'd love to see you build yours. There was another Diorama near this table with a 1/16 Panzer IV, BMW motorcycle and some figures set in front of a big opened door entrance to a garden. I can't believe I didn't get a pic of it.......The 4WD Blitz blew me away too!!! Yes Sir, I only bought half a kit……...….PM ya tomorrow…….....

Great photos Dude 1.
That first photo reminds me of the 2003 Rabble seaside outing at Scarborough .
Thank you for the shot of the beast !

A terrific show mate. Some wonderful builds and the Stug must have been a joy to see. Did you enter any of the competitions yourself??
