Build thread and all sorts of explanations, fun diversions and even some bad photographs can be found here:

Here's a few pictures of the finished model. It really is OOB, there are a few things I would otherwise have changed, but it is what it is.

It's a very nice little kit which I would ceertainly recommend to anyone wanting a 1/72 Hurricane. It looks a lot like a Hurricane to me!

Very nice indeed, the background and photography really set your Hurricane off perfectly.

Congratulations on a cracking build.

Watto.

Very nice indeed. Love the photographs. These 1/72 Airfix kits do represent good, value for money kits.

Sweet.

Aaand you've just confirmed something I did on my 'first in service' Hurri, in doing the spinner tip in flight colour

Noice

It also looks a lot like a Hurricane to me, too! :smiling5:
Great little model and a very clean build.

First, thanks for the kind comments.

Second, I had so much fun doing this that I've ordered the Airfix 1/72 D-Day fighter set from John at the scale-model shop. I know nothing about the kits, but five models at less than a tenner a piece has got to be both good value for money and provide plenty of entertainment. They will also be a vague follow-on from my D-Day Horsa, also 1/72 scale.

I'm not sure how I'll go about tackling so many at once, but I'll come up with some kind of build thread when I start.

They would make a dream line up at any modern air show :)

Beautiful job steve , you’ll soon find out these little kits are addictive , try one of the Tamiya 1/72 bf109s , they go together fantastically like this . I loved the hurricane I did ,so much so ive got another couple !

Great work again Steve!! There newer Airfix kits are great for the price.

Well done.

Andrew
