Wow. It was a damp squib in Somerset. No real wind or rain here, despite the forecasts saying we’d get a lot. The second one yesterday was a bit livelier though.
YES Kaci bet it was frighting bein 15 floors up in this storm do you feel a swaying motion when the wind hit the building ? as when jen an i went to blackpool an up that tower we could feel the tower swaying a tiny bit but it did an jen got the wind up an wanted to go down so we did but it made you think about how strong that tower is as it was a long way down phew an i went last night to NORWICH to pick jen up from her sisters an talk about rain even my two speed window wipers could not cope an the wind was blowing my car about not much but i could feel it on the steering was glad to get home as it was getting dangerous as there were idiots overtakeing me an i was doin 50mph on cruise controll an when they hit the big puddeles it made them slow down as i did to 30 mph what a night

Not nearly as bad as forecast here in Shropshire. Very wet but wind not too bad. Having lived for 11 years on the Outer Hebrides I truly understand gales!
Dint feel the building move but can see the water in the wash hand basin sloshing slightly
