discussion stripping vinyl models

done a bit of searching about stripping paints from vinyl models without harming the model itself some say they use oven cleaner in a bag overnight but they use non english products can anyone advise on english products and details how to go about stripping down.

The vinyl model has a poor paint job and wanna redo again.

I have used fairy power spray in the past which worked very well for me but always do a test piece 1st

I have use Mr Muscle (am I allowed to use brand names) but I must admit I was very worried so only left it 2hours it did take the paint off and appeared not to damage the model but I think it would depend on how thick the paint was, (the one I did was airbrush sprayed so was a uniform thickness and very thin compared to the hairy stick where the thickness would vary).

I use Mr Muscle oven cleaner and never had a problem with it! I wanted to strip a models engine which had been painted with a brush, One hour in a bag and the paint came off but didn't do any harm to the glued areas
