hi guys and gals

In looking fir some help with surgery.
With my KT build for the GB build I'm thinking of taking off the skirts. Now majority of b/w pics show them without ( which is eventually how I would like to display.
My problem is can you just leave the whole skirt off the model ( Tamiya 1/35 ) it seems to have bracket attachments where the skirt should be?? or do you need to surgically take off the main skirt but leave the top piece on ?
I'm a little confused or is this just overthinking the issue

Hi Robert
The front part of the fender will need to be removed from the skirt and glued to the kit but the rest can be left off

Thanks Colin

Probs when you don't build that many AFV

Thanks

Robert

Do it like mine Robert.

The mouldings on the hull side correspond to fittings on the inside of the fenders. For 100% accuracy, hexagonal bolt heads could be added to the mouldings, but that's possibly overkill!

If removing the front mudguards, remember to keep the hinge fitting. On my one, they were attached to the guard so I had to saw them off. If they're moulded onto the hull on your kit, it's even easier. :)

I'll never get to this standard...... But there's alaways room for improvements eh.
I've drawn a line where I believe I should cut ( leaving the hinge points on ???
