I`m watching these builds with big interest - great scratch work , you cannot beat the smell of racing mini`s , I can still see it now Brands Hatch paddock hill bend 1st lap 30 mini`s cornering on 3 wheels , magic days and if you could only bottle the smell .

Great work Adam

Sounds like fun & i know, We had a mini that never fully recovered from going through a 1 to 2 foot flood at the bottom of my road. managed to get it to start but had a massive loss on power & couldn't pass 1st gear & all the electronics were ruined for weeks

Forgot about this site and these minis, all 3 (Yes 3 a 3rd was started) are sat in a plastic tub at my dads house im 20 now and working on the real ones again. I'll dig them out at the weekend but all 3 of them are still in a similar state to these pictures though the 3rd was a bad idea started to become a clubvan (Van with a clubman front) the K20 i have no idea what i did to it but its back on its original engine but rather changed. Twin Cam KAD 16 valve coverted Morris Minor engine so its setup with an actual sump instead of the gearbox and got a moggy gearbox so its RWD, the exhaust tunnel is higher up to fit a drive shaft and the exhausts in them though the exhaust may just be sent out of the bonnet or side instead if i finish it, its still without wheels and the rear end has a custom subframe to go with a new subframe on the front and its got a differential from a Nissan Skyline R32 sitting in the back.

Yep!!

This is the 1/10 Defender body, isn't it???

My dream is have someday one of this...

Thread owner
Yeah the defender is in the 1/10 scale but its closer to 1/8.5 why not buy just the body then? £50 on ebay same as some kits, modify and paint it ready and eventually buy a chassis for it, they sometimes come up cheap on ebay or facebook groups too. This is a good group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/ukscaleandcrawler/?fref=ts
