Cheers Chris. Yep next is the hull in Tamiya LP Kure grey.
Not a clue about the rudder but the German destroyer has 2! As you know the funeral is Thursday so getting close. Dreading it.
To make things worse it's mum's birthday today, instead of buying mum pressies a visit to the crematorium instead to put flowers on my dad and sisters memorial. Very sad

Thankfully mums funeral went ok and I managed to deliver the eulogy. So after yesterday I decided to get on with it!
So, hull sides now in Tamiya LP Kure grey. Happy with the masking
The next bit is going to be fun. The deck is typically IJN having a partial linoleum and metal deck.

Went in a blur, everybody praised my eulogy. So glad I did it.
What surprised me was the service had to be timed almost to the second. I had to send the eulogy in to be checked. No more than two pages and in 14 font. If the service ran late the undertaker got fined! Biggest surprise was the traffic lights. If it was red the cortage had to stop as the funeral in front was still going on, if green you could proceed. Thankfully green.
Horrible day but good to say people who kindly turned up to pay respects.
So far so good with Kagero, got to work out how to do the linoleum. Sadly not a straight forward separation! The LP paint sprayed so nicely.

Apparently it was used to save wood, also according to veterans it was a good anti skid system and kept the decks below cool in summer and warm in winter. But burnt a treat, not much good in times of war!!
