Scale Model Shop

Tamiya 1/48 Type 10

An acrylic varnish would have done the job John but I actually used a lacquer / solvent based one in his case.

As long as it's something the enamel thinner / white spirit etc won't reactivate it'll work fine.

Paint chemistry is a huge subject and the different terminologies used in different hobbies even have me scratching my head at times  and I certainly daren't go into it on this forum as you know how badly I'll get cross examined by some :smiling5:
Not me - I'm just plain and simply confused - And happy!!! Ignorance is bliss sometimes!!

Loving this Andy. The commander sure looks like he has a stick up his bum still.
Nice camo on the tank and the weathering is coming along fine.

Thanks Ian.

He's posing for the camera, trying to look all official.

I agree with Stefan with the scale size.

To be able to paint that figure with such detail Andy is a credit mate , expect the same when you get the weathering done on the tank .
Even just painted it was faultless finish wise .
True, had to pick my eyeballs of the monitor twice...

I've done a bit more work to this with some (probably too subtle) streaking, and I've tried to define the many anti slip panels a bit better.

I'm sure I could do more but it's probably about as finished as it comes for one of mine :smiling5:

A nice little kit for someone that's just looking for a quick refresher.
