Can anyone give me a translation of the these slogans?

Andrew,

Google translate gives the following:

top left down:

Komsomol member (a political youth organisation)
Collective farmer
Khabarovsk (seems to be a place)
Stalinist

The one in the middle seems to say Moscow although google has it as московский

These are literal translations by a piece of software though so an actual Russian speaker may provide slightly differing meanings

Russian tanks and planes did tend to get built with donations from villages, organisations etc so the translations would make sense

"Today Communism, tomorrow McDonald's!"
"Our tanks won't be as popular with modelers as German tanks!"
"Looking for a wife"

I think Simon used a different translator....:rolling:

Transliterated it says Moskovskiy — I don’t speak Russian (I can just read most of the letters :)) but I’d guess it means something like, “from Moscow”. The Tamiya one appears to have a spelling error in that it uses н (n) with a (sort-of-)macron ( ¯ ) instead of й (j/y).

The second black one, above the curved one, literally says Kolkhoznik (note that kh indicates /x/, much like the ch in the Scottish word loch). It refers to a kolkhoz or collective farm, so Simon’s Google translation is accurate in one way but doesn’t really convey the meaning in another.

Thanks for the replies; I think I’ll use the Stalin one when I get round to building it

I’ve started building it, and realised the instructions have the translations!
