Me and my missus (who comes from Kirkcudbright and is Scotish born and bred) would like to thank all the Scotish people who voted to stay, we love Scotland thanks.

I'm enormously proud to see the scots reject independence we are better together and stronger , my dad was Scottish and he would have been very sad if they had broken away

As an exiled Scot I'm pleased with the result and just want to get on with my life without this referendum guff getting in the way anymore. I'm just here for the modelling.

I think it had more to do with big companies leaving Scotland if went independent

now we have had this its about time we had a referendum on staying in the EU

The margin surprised me but not SWMBO. She believes that many of the 'undecided' in the lead up polls had in fact decided to vote 'no' but didn't want to say so. I spent most of last week in Glasgow and particularly amongst younger people to say 'I'm going to vote no' was very uncool.

All my BBC colleagues were going to vote 'no' out of purely selfish motives. They want to keep the BBC and in some cases their jobs

I believe that Scotland is better off as part of the Union, but that didn't wash with several of my Scottish friends who I know voted 'yes'. I might just give one or two a ring later

On the positive side it is a reflection of our ancient democracy that we can have this kind of referendum on something as fundamental as restructuring the United Kingdom without anyone getting bombed, shot or killed, and that both sides will accept the result, albeit grudgingly in the case of some who were expecting an independent Scotland, and move on.

What now for Alex Salmond and his side kick Nicola Sturgeon ? I really don't like her and I don't know why

That's a good question Steve , I don't think they have a place in Scotland now because their whole political ideology was about independence and that's gone now , the way I see it is the people have rejected their policies

But that's just my opinion

Absolutely.... that is what democracy is all about and the best way to gain a stable society.

Now what about the West Lothian question? Cameron mentioned English votes for English laws but getting it is not so easy.... It will be an interesting time ahead but all this, of course, is not really for discussion here on a modelling form.
