As thoes that have followed this little buid know it was all about the set of decals I bought a few years ago depicting a captured tiger at kursk covered on one side in graffiti, I should have sat up and noticed how thin and brittle the crosses and numbers were a couple of them breaking but I managed to float them back together on the model. I kept any weathering to a minimum because obviously the graffiti was daubed over it so in effect the decals of the graffiti went on when the model was as good as done ,this was where it all went wrong one of them even broke up in the water did the best I could with the rest ,am now thinking of trying to remove them or dumbing them down wit h something a bit less post office red.

That looks great Dave. The tank finish is top notch.
With respect to the graffiti, I can see where you are coming from. Red flares out in photographs anyway, so that they stand out more in the images. They seem quite overpowering though, so might need a little colour desaturation to get them looking in scale.

Hi David
The build and the weathering are excellent. Shame about the decals. Why some go on a treat and others are a nightmare I just don't know. You would think that manufacturers would make the effort to get good decals.
Despite the problems that is a very nice result.

Thanks Tim as you say its not that bad in real life ,im going to come away for a couple of days and take it from there like I said shame because the whole build was about the graffiti still live and learn as they say ,onwards and upwards thanks for your support. Dave
