Geoffrey Wellum has left us.
The few really do become fewer. He will be sadly missed.

He was at the Chalke valley history festival a couple of years back but I unfortunately missed him, really regret it today, even more than I did previously...

I saw that earlier today, and Tom Neil on Wednesday. I type this with a picture of Spitfire G-QJ, a print signed by Geoffrey himself. I feel a Spitfire build coming on.

I've never read First Light, but ordered it two weeks ago, and am eagerly anticipating the book's arrival. I watched the movie again yesterday after hearing about Wellum's passing. RIP.
