Hi Lee - don't know how accurate you want to be but pretty sure Sdkfz9 didn't get a flak38 mount just 88mm flak
Sdkfz7 got the quad - Sdkfz10/11 got the single flak38

Thanks Simon I was wondering about that I re-grouped and posted

sorry but i would say no........its already built so not in with the spirit of the build

No worries Paul, understood. Will build it separately for later use.

Cheers,
Richard

I'll build the complete kit , but realise only the tracked part is for this Group Build.

I'm beginning to go off the idea of my UM Bison SPG ( post #9 ), due to the tiny tracks, and so I'll substitute thisView attachment 324290

I may get back to the Bison, depending on how this one goes.................

I think I might tag along and get a kit bought, I have very limited build space at the moment so this could fit the bill.

Peter, which version are you going to do? Be good to see what each of us can do with the same kit.

I’m debating whether or not to join in, with the following kit:

The main reason I’m not sure I want to is because of the tracks: they’re the standard M113 type, when the real thing rode on Diehl tracks. I have some ideas on how to correct them, but it’s a lot of work that I’m not certain I want to do right now :)

I have a couple of alternative kits in mind, though I’m not all that enthousiastic about them.

Thats what I like about this forum they don’t hold you to high stands but they will give in put to help you be a better modeler in a nice constructive way and help you make your models look good no matter what the age or parts you have to work with. My hats off to all who have help me here to become a better modeler and enjoy this hobby.

In that case I’ll pick another model, as I want to do the YPR justice when I do get round to building it :)

Maybe a Revell Crusader III or a Hasegawa M24 Chaffee …
