Lovely progress andy , I struggled to mask that bit up too ,its a tiny funny little shape -even worse in 1/72 . Paintwork is looking sharp , looking forward to the top colours , cheers tony

.... So then,the week's progress was slow,but caught up a bit yesterday,and will be doing some more this afternoon, for now though, here's a picture heavy update.....

Underside masked and ready for sloshing some paint around on top...

(A couple of numbered masks there for Mick ) .... Let the sloshing commence....

That'll be the brown then!! ..

Masks applied,( I do like these Top Notch vinyl sets),next, let's chuck some "Purist Green" around the parish.....

... and eagerly torn off again....

... And ready for the Sky band, which I will paint by hand in a mo....
So then,I shall be pressing on very soon, until next time.....(Hopefully this evening )

.... So then, said update coming up..
I've had a few unusual issues with the decals.....

You can see the white "powdery" stuff that appeared around the decal,this happened with ALL of them,(I only used my usual Micro Sol and Set method),some of it came off with a gentle rub with a damp cotton bud, but some didn't?!!:thinking:
Anyway....

Taped up the gun ports,hand painted Red,and then addressed the decal issue and some overspray areas,then sprayed with semi gloss varnish,in readiness for a Flory wash.....



Obviously it still needs some tweaking,the wash,and knock offable bits added,but it definitely is getting there :tongue-out2:.

Good recovery on those decals Andy. I have never seen that before and I use the same decal solutions. Looking good so far.
