The wings are now stable, and fitted the nose radar sub frame...

Then I painted up the "pads" in the motor narcelles, and fitted...

...the outer rings :)
For now I've had enough, but look forward to doing some more in the evenings this week :)
Cheers for now,and thanks for dropping by :thumb2:,

Those were known as schräge Musik (SHRAY-guh moo-ZEEK), literally “angled music” or “slanted music”, and informally also “weird music”. The term makes no sense in English but was used in Nazi Germany to refer to some foreign styles of music that the regime wasn’t overly fond of, such as jazz. I guess the guns being angled steeply upward made someone associate one with the other.

Cheers Jakko,I love little snippets of info like that :thumb2:.

I actually knew that!!! I have read....all caveats apply....that the RAF didn't confirm the existence of these until after the war, even if they suspected it....I did read it in a 'proper' book not Wikipediae ....not that, that guarantees it being right!

Just a very brief one from tonight... Put the masks on,fitted quite well, but not as good as previous ones I've done, they took a bit of faffing, and will need a bit of liquid Mask here and there...

IMG20231127192457.jpg
... and here's the front end,(no,he doesn't look like a duck billed platipus, that's just the Transparent Red reflecting from the night sight into his face!! ;) ),....
IMG20231127192540.jpg
... And, obviously, more mask to be tidied up/added.
Good fun this... Let's hope it doesn't go belly up when it comes to the clever painting stages eh?!! ;)
More tomorrow I hope!!

Coming on in good form Mr Smith :thumb2:

Im Sure you’ll have no problem getting with the paint

Nice young Mr Smith , like those toasting forks on the front end .
You've achieved quite a bit and all looking good .

Cracking progress Andy despite your limited bench time, it’s looking very nice :thumb2:

There it is under primer, and then Luftwaffe Light Grey... thought i`d do the tail section on it`s own,to help for the painting ... then got carried away did a wash and added decals!!:astonished::tears-of-joy:.......
IMG20231205182533.jpg

quite pleased so far, however, there`s a LOT of tidying up to do already, but i think it`s going in the right direction :), whatever,i`m enjoying it,and that`s really what counts for me!.... and some tentative bits for later.....

Thanks very much guys, much appreciated :smiling3:
I finally got hold of. Some " Violet grey",it arrived today,and GREAT I thought,"I can crack on now",but W.T.F.?...
IMG20231207141821.jpg
?!!.. to me, that's just GREY?:flushed:.. I've LOADS of various Greys,which one of which would surely of sufficed!;
However,I bought it,so I was gonna use it!! These were the kit suggested plans, which I duly tried to follow,( doing it all by brush)...
IMG20231207173603.jpg
IMG20231207173142.jpg
It'll need some cover up,but for a first attempt I thought it ok?!..
Next...
IMG20231207174039.jpg
.... I've only got that lot to have a go at?!! :flushed:... What could possibly go wrong?!! ;)
I've also cracked on with the masking, it's been a particular pain in the arse, but I'm getting there .
IMG20231206192537.jpg
.. cheers for now,and thanks for looking in as always :)

The camo looks convincing to me. No need to slavishly follow the drawing, as the real thing didn’t have a fixed pattern anyway, to the best of my knowledge. Which, of course, also means you can’t really go wrong as long as it’s in the same spirit.

Thanks Jakko :)
Yes,I know what you mean... I did try and follow the suggested pattern provided, however, after a while my painting drifted off somewhat... and it's kinda morphed into an adaptation of my take on it!!
It's been quite good fun up to now,how long it'll continue to be so will be interesting.... After all,as I previously said... There's a LOT of it to be done yet!!...
But I'm determined to get an half decent result :thumb2:
