Whatever conclusion the powers that be might eventually come to the most important thing is that you've given up on the cigarettes. I gave up many years ago, but I was a heavy smoker and I know how hard it can be. Well done, and if the e-cigs keep you off the real ones so much the better, even if you have to smoke them like an outcast :)

Personally, as a now long time non-smoker, I don't have a problem with them. Several of my colleagues use them and it doesn't bother me. Real cigarettes most certainly would.

Cheers

That's the way I look at it Steve , I think the main thing is to get off real cigarettes, this has got to be better for me as now I can breath and I don't have a coughing fit every morning, that's got to be better for me :)

Good on you Alan! :D

I've not had one (or an e~cig) since late September also :)

I was never really tempted by these e~cig things myself. I just wanted to stop cigarettes full stop, and their content.

It's a personal choice, I didn't want to replace one addiction for another, soterspeak.

For me it's been bloody hard, it's winter, I'm a heating engineer, and I seem to have the world screaming at me "why doesn't anybody carry parts in stock anymore?"!!!!!!

Recent studies in Japan have proven that E-ciggies contain more carcinogenics than real cigarettes and several rather nasty poisons. Formaldehyde one of the nasty ones I can recall

My work place has just banned smoking on the grounds. So I just stopped while at work. So from 20 - 30 a day to about 10!

Next stop 0 (so you are all warned lol).

Our dear friends at EU are also looking into bannning e-cigs and many other places are considering banning them in smoke free places. Which is a good idea if you ask me.

This was one of my not useing e~cig things, France

banned them not long ago, and well, that's almost next door lol ;)

I've been a non smoker for over a year now, and extremely happy about it. I did try the e-Ciggies, but found my throat didn't agree with them (oh the irony!)

I instead used this book: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Little-Book-Quitting-Allen-Carr/dp/0140289003/ref=sr_1_48?ie=UTF8&qid=1418678853&sr=8-48&keywords=allen+carr+stop+smoking

First words in it tell you not to stop smoking. A bit of brain washing later and I never touched one again. Even if you think it's codswallop, it's only a couple of quid and a really short book!

Noted...... seems a bit harsh Mike lol.

Good for you mate! :D

Ian that's old news from last year , it was concerning the liquid the fill ones but they changed the formular as now they are being more supportive as we now show them in adverts in Britain

I gave up just over two years ago, I had a health scare and just stopped altogether was hard at times, i still get the odd craving but not been tempted. only downside is ive put on a lot of weight since and a belly.lol

Well I have smoked about 4 cigarettes in my whole life if you could call it smoking. They were before I got to that ripe age of 21.

The last was when I went out with all the lads in the office to celebrate my coming of age. Celebrate :eek::eek:. Thought oh yes swallow the smoke I had heard about all of this. Did not go with a curry evening :eek::eek:

Well that may have been funny for the lads.

What was not was seeing my father, who smoked morning to night, suffering from terrible emphysema for the last 5 years of his life. Shuffling, it took 10 minutes, from the lounge to the loo and then 10 minutes back. Plus a cough both ends and in the middle. Not able after shuffling 4 yds able to speak through lack of breath. So be warned do you want to end your life like this. He actually begged for the end to come.

To remember that he not only suffered it was his children, me and my sister, and his wife my mother. Be warned that is the end result. Plus and smokers will probably hate me for saying it but the terrible coughing and the smell of smoking on a person and all within their vicinity is very awful. It is also awful for the non smoking partners and a disaster for the children of smoking parents.

Laurie :(
