I'm a little late on this GB, but thought i'd join in the fun. So this is my entery, I have new tracks and engine grills on order. It'll be finished with Zimmerits (No Nails hehehe). And also, i have the Tamiya German maintenance crew set so will be fitting the engine from that.

Let the fun begin.

Don't know about a dio Ian but a vignette is on the cards, got to think of space now (and the wife ).

Once painted, the Zimmerits, give a nice look at the model, and the weathering looks much better!

Your zimmerit looks fantastic but are you using PVA here or some other goo that's drying clear?
I've only tried on a test piece with Tamiya white putty and it was a bit too sticky to the tool for leaving a crisp pattern in my opinion. This looks much better - hence the question! :)

Hi all, had some time on this build so thought i'd better get some photos up.

First off the bat is i got some new tracks, from Meng and was only £15. Worked on the engine hatch so it can be opened after it built, even got some Panzer colours too.

Now this is where the fun starts, or you could call it "i gone goofed". After the zimmerits i glued the hull together then fitted the cut and modified side skirts. Then left it to dry over night, i suddenly realised "how the hell am i going to fit the sprockets (goofed No.1). If i fit the sprocket and final drive as one it'll just slide in.

Well the photo etch turned up so i could get some more work done, (queue the Batman spin) to the engine grills!! I cut the grills out, put super glue on where it was going and.......................... it did not fit, bugger!! The ones that are closest the the turret i modified to fit. Then it came time to fit the one under the modified grill, they didn't fit too. Thought to myself "is this one going to fight me all the way?". Nope! I looked at the photo etch and i got the ones for the Dragon KT not the Tamiya KT (goofed No.2).
