Hy guys.

This is my new project. As you can see, it is Tribute to Ivica Aranza, great modeller who passed away to early. He loved to build SMER models, and never used aftermarket. So, many croatian modellers are building something like this to show their respect to Ivica.

About the model:

When I opened the box, i was shocked. This is my first SMER model and it is really disaster. Panels, markings.... Everithing's elevated and need to be sanding-putty, sanding-putty........

Here is the initial condition:

So, after alot of sanding and putty or surfacer fillings, this is the result:

Hi ljubo , this is a fitting tribute to Ivica. Looks like youve got a lot of work ahead!! but im sure it will look superb at the end. Top work on the engine! cheers tony

Fantastic work Ljubo and a superb gesture to remember Ivica by. That cock pit is a great bit of work!

I was looking on the scale model world forum only yesterday and was amazed by the thread dedicated to him.

He sure did build some beautiful models.

Great tribute build Ljubo,looks awesome so far. My hats off to you I opened a smer kit took one look and thats were it ended for me.
