Sorry John I missed the completed model too! One minute you're extolling the virtues of a shed brush and next...Whoosh! finished job.
Builds (and other types of thread) are going through like a dose of salts. Far too quickly for folks to have a proper look at and comment on.

Any road up, your model is excellent. Nicely mucked up.

Really enjoyed this, always something you think you could improve on . Tracks were OK once I'd sorted out the assembly with some help from Dave .
I can see areas where they could be made. The water was OK, certainly cheaper than Vallejo or one of the other makes. Didn't fancy the resin type, too much messing around.
Need to work on the washes, and figures, but happy with the 65 , think the marrying of the cab went well . The duo basevwas just as I had imagined and worked well .

I too missed this crossing the finish line. It has turned out very well indeed. There have been a few ups a downs along the way but all sorted. Dio tells the story well and the mud and water is very realistic. One to be proud of and a great blog to follow.

Strange that your finished posting slipped through and so many of us missed it! Glad i got the chance to see now though.
Think you ought to be very happy with how it turned out....the mud has a real gloopy, sticky vehicle eating look to it and I really like the reeds....ingenious:thumb2:
And not one but two vehicle that aren’t on fire or battle damaged....what more could we ask for...although we have all come to expect something getting burnt:smiling5:

For mud I find actual mud is pretty good - dirt from the garden mixed with PVA to keep it in place. I will need a dollop or two for my Mk1 WW1 build to sit in

Today the friul tracks arrived, tomorrow should bring at least 4 packages. Oh the excitment!!!
Build should be back next week as expecting one 7 and one 9 year old grandsons for the weekend. They are good lads, once explained what they were they just looked and never touched. Hope this will be repeated!.
Might get the b/w photos up tomorrow.
