Thanks to Mr Bowcat for putting together this GB,
Here is my offering in all its dirty glory.
The car is depicted as having just completed the 1978 Monte Carlo Rally, with the attendant dirt and grime that it picked up from the snow and road muck on the last stage.
I was not overly impressed with this Italeri kit for varying reasons, but at the end of the rally and with all the dirt and snow covering my efforts, it did not turn out too bad.
Thanks to all of you that followed along and offered comments, advice and encouragement.
Cheers
Garry

I thought you said it had been in a rally? My car looks like that normally! Very convincing finish, Garry.

Absolute tour de force, very convincing weathering especially the wheels. Excellent result.
Thanks Stefan, I appreciate that.

Much obliged Mark.

Haha I don't believe that for a minute John, thanks though.

That definitely looks the part Frosty Garry!!! A rally car in all it's glory, at the finish line. It might have been a tough build, but you nailed it, my friend!!!

Now, you need to put on your coat, go outside, grab a bucket of snow, and make a nice base for it!!!...

Brilliant job Gary ,now you've pit it on the little base its rally (did you see what I did there)doubled the visual appeal of what was a excellent model to begin with. Dave

Great base and nicely positioned on the diagonsl. Clever use of tubes to denote the edge of the road during heavy snow.
Thanks Stefan, the tubes are covers from paint brushes, I just used what I had to hand.

The base is excellent, Garry. Brings the model up another notch. By the way, my car isn't covered in mud and snow like that. We don't get much here in Cyprus, only a few days in winter in the mountains. My car is always thick with red dust as we live in the middle of farmland.
John.
