i have no idea what was used and its just a plastic model like the ones here if that helps

thnx mobear

If it is just small parts in small quantities, I have used liquid poly. But be warned try with caution 'cause it can go terribly wrong.

large amounts and I think its the break fluid.

I remember as a youngster building one of the Airfix steam angines. I had the bright idea of spraying WD40 on it to make it work better. It promptly fell apart. Might be worth a try.

okay peeps the glue has on closer inspection has turned a horrible creamy colour and is totally solid,if i was working in a kiln i would use a needle gun to shift it but alas this is plastic and a hell of a lot smaller lol:laughing:

Have you tried Nail Varnish remover or Acetone? I had a "little" accident with glue on a bell 47G "Bubble "Canopy and this seemed to get rid of the glue. You might also try candle wax (hot) it can melt Superglue, but also plastic, so perhaps not exactly a good choice.
