Ohh, that's going to hurt. Bad luck.

Myself, I'm off to the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre where both Lancasters will do a flypast with 'Just Jane' on the runway, 12 Merlin engines all together.

Colin M..

I saw pictures of the two Lancasters together on the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. Magnificent.

That's the one thing I would love to see , two lancasters flying together is a boys dream come true , I envy all of you who get the chance to see that

I've just realised that title is all wrong, serves my own right for trying to type fast.

Indeed Alan, it could well be a once in a lifetime opportunity.

I have edited the title for you Colin. ;-)

Can you believe they both flew over my wife today as she was out walking the dogs! The BBMF aircraft regularly flies over us very low so I'm sure it was a pretty spectacular sight. At least my wife can now recognise a Lancaster!!

There are people dying to pay good money to witness that sight, and your wife casually walking the dogs gets a free flyby. You have to laugh.....................

Then this afternoon the house shook to a thunderous roar and the pair of them flew over the house at just a few hundred feet!!!

It just isn't fair that I'm not there!!!

Apparently they are due to perform at Duxford on 14th Sept.Though still to be confirmed.

Just heard that the two have just received permission to land at Jersey Aiport early September part of the yearly B of B show.

The show is about 2.5 hours. Arrows Spifire with host of other craft. All takes place over a bay which enables lower flying than usual.

And that's the day my father in law leaves Jersey at the end of his holiday. So he is hoping to see a bit of the show from the airport before departure.

Vera came back to Southend for an overnight stop with PA474 and BoB flight Spitfire PR19 plus Hurricane IIc. This time I was at work.My boss arranged for Southends Vulcan to be towed over to in front of the old terminal building. Then when the Lancasters arrived they parked up each side of it.I managed to get quite a few photos and a video of them flying over. The Spitfire and Hurricane are staying in our hanger overnight. My iPhone battery ran out. So I will get some photos of those tomorrow.
