Hi, I am a swedish model maker and my first question here will be: How would you make a custom (camouflage-like) print on a plane 1:72? I have tried making custom waterslide print but I would like to NOT have the transparent parts also go on the plane. Also it does not work well on curved surfaces. In my mind I would like a film that I could print my design on and then somehow transfer only the paint on to the plane. Like transfer stickers "gnuggisar" in Swedish :) . Is there such a product? Or do you have any suggestions?

I can't answer your question, but I'm very interested to see someone do it.

Hi Ninna. Do you mean creating a decal that you place on to the model instead of painting it? Not heard of that being done before. The only way I can think of achieving that would be to use camouflage masks, and scan them (which would defeat the purpose of making your own?). Not sure how you would get the correct paint colours, and as you indicated, curves and edges are going to be a problem with decals, particularly decals covering a large surface.
