discussion Vinyl Cutter for Mask Making

Has anyone used a Vinyl Cutter like the Silhouette or Cricut machines for making masks or stencils?

My wife uses masks for her linocut printing and I do too mainly for clear parts such as windows.
Look like these gadgets may be just the job, but any first hand experience information would be very handy
