I don’t usually blog my figures and stick them in my fillers post. Now my latest GB is over I’m going to make a start on these guys. I usually just buy single figures but really liked the look of the group dressed in their void suits. They look like a cross between steam punk and Victorian diving suits. Im going to paint them up as the Boremanite ‘Devils’ which is the green uniform

Should be good. Sprue gates are possibly over the top, but I suppose it helps good moulding…..they have a sort of captain Nemo vibe about them….

Not a genre I have ever attempted but these fantasy figures do make eyecatching models. Like Tim, I was going to comment on the rather strange looking sprues. I'll enjoy seeing this come together.

I've not seen those before Mick, they are very much to my liking!

One thing I've noticed with GW is the very meaty sprue compared to the parts, but they have some of the best injection moulded detail I've seen. The cross section is quite unique too, an isosceles trapezoid if I remember back to my school days.

Looking forward to seeing the magic happen.

I hope so Tim, I don’t ever remember getting a badly formed part so it must work. Yep to Nemo.

Welcome along Jim, they make for a nice alternative to paint, like the ones Tim paints

Great looking figures aren’t they. Don’t you go all geometry on me
welcome along Andy

Well I wasn’t expecting this when I started building the figures.

Even with my rudimentary maths skills I make that 6

Been a while but I’m slowly working through these but with trips away, work and other stuff it’s slow progress. I would probably be faster if I had the skill that some have to paint their figures fully assembled but I always struggle with complicated ones so I always do sub assemblies where possible. Here’s where I’m at, most main colours are blocked in and first wash on. Figure 6 is just out of shot.

And finished. These have been quite intricate to paint but have done my best, even down to putting “glass” in their pressure gauges. Next up will be something a little more straightforward.

Great stuff Mick I bought the 2.99 mag/type thing a while back with the free(suposedly) figures must look and build so as I'll fire some primer at them next time I'm priming he says with all good intentions........Dave

Mick, they are superb mate.
Thanks Scottie, I know that they’re not everyone’s cup of tea but the really test my painting skills
Those have come out very well Mick. Lots of detail for such small figures.
Thank you Jim, loads of detail. I’m glad I’m not still gaming because this particular army requires loads of figures

Hi Mick,
Very nice paint job on those little beauties. They look great, as you said very Victoriana looking. First time i attempted painting figures, was a feeble attempt to paint some GW characters . Aragorn and Legolass due to my long love affair with LotR.

Simply stunning paintwork Mick :smiling4:

Really like the look of all the metallic parts against the green armour, done perfectly :thumb2:

Well Mick, you lost me on the intro.... I must be getting old... But will stick around and learn something new...
