Ok so today I had my first go at trying colour modulation on a truck for the dio and also the pzIII. I am fairly happy with them for first goes but think a bit more ractice is needed before I tackle the Famo and trailer. As always all comments are welcome and appreciated.

another update on this long arsed build with a bit of advice needed please. The Panzer III is all but complete with just a bit if spare track to go on. I have used AK Panzer base colours and the Panzer grey streaking on the tank. After using the base colours I was worried it looked to light but having added the streaking I feel it now looks to dark pictures below.

As this is my first go at using both of these products I am thinking I have possibly done something wrong so any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have given the Famo and trailer a coating of the base colours over the initial panzer grey and am happy with it so far. I am worried though that the same could happen to the Famo as has happened with the above. I have been stalling doing this part of the Famo through fear of messing it up. It is one thing messing a cheap kit up but if I messed this up I would be gutted.

With the Panzer I gave a minimum of 24hrs between coats so I know that can't be a factor if I have done wrong. I am thinking now of carefully giving it some more washes of the base colours to bring it back what do you guys think? Before delving into the world of filters and specific washes I just used artists pastels and very diluted variants of the colours on the call outs.

Terry mate, I think the Panzer looks great. Your work on the Opel and the Famo are very good. I really like the Opel Blitz, it looks fantastic. The Famo is looking good and so is the trailer thingy. I think this will look super when finished.

Thanks Ian I feel like I am getting somewhere now with a couple of bits finished. I have just started the decaling on the Famo trailer and they are proving to be a bit of a bugger to get down. All else fails I will paint the red and white bands over the wheels to save the messing about.
