What did you fly in today?

Yes I always get cattle class. It's a long flight to India in cattle, done that a few times although Australia is worse unless you get the A380 which is nice.
I flew to Osaka last month in business, very comfortable. I went to India three years ago in cattle, not very comfortable.

We got lucky running late one time coming back. Return flight in business. Slept nearly 7 hours.

That really is the way to fly through many time zones

Well same plane again today but we actually made it to Shetland. The noise doesn't half give you a headache and my back is busted!

Landing gear built by the company I work for, I'm the field rep for that gear!!

I've done another couple of the ubiquitous A 320s, finally arriving back home. Next flight next month to Vancouver but no idea what BA operates on that route.

Cheers

Most likely a B747, they have their 787's on the Toronto route.

How was the service on AA Rick? We're thinking about flying American to LA later in the year.

It was pretty decent to be honest. I'd heard negative things but the long haul flight was okay and we got upgraded to first for the Memphis sector. We didn't select our seats on the long flight as AA charge you for choosing a window seat for example. We turned up at check in and were allocated a pair of seats next to a window at no extra charge. We still have to make the return journey though...!

Not what I flew in, but flying out of Birmingham earlier (say 11:15ish) an all white aircraft, no livery - looked like a 757 or Airbus equivalent - twin jets large but not 777 large. Very strange with no markings whatsoever.

Much more comfortable and quieter than the old B777 that took us to the US. Great in flight service too, but entertainment system leaves a lot to be desired. Highly recommend taking your own headphones on United (unless you can afford a posh seat).

Is that a 787 or A350?

It's a 787. Leg room would have been just as miserable as your BA experience except we were upgraded to Economy +. Air NZ B777 to SFO had leg room for midgets only, pretty much what you would get on a domestic flight.
