discussion What material do you cover your bench/desk/worktop with?

I have a piece of 3mm foam board from an old advertising sign, that goes under the spray booth and protects to front and sides. The bench has an A3 cutting mat, if painting I put a sheet of A3 paper from a calendar we get at work from a supplier.

Cutting boards mainly but i use tape and drap in the spray booth, its fantastic stuff
once painted i have some foam from The Range diy shop place cost about 4 quid 600x600mm for repadding chairs etc but it great to let the fresh paint harden off, i used a few rolls of old wall paper for a while handy and cheap cut to size once fouled binned
