I'd buy a 50mm 1/4 or 1.8 fixed focus lens and an 18-105mm lens, the fixed focal length because they are good for macro photos and the zoom because it covers the gap between my 18-55mm and 70-300mm lens. But then that doesn't solve the problem of what model you should buy :)

The question really, is a bit personal - but do you have a big stash? If so, then buy something useful for modelling in some way but not actually a model?

I've had a mosey around John's shop.........and I think my choice is either:
1/35 Trumpeter T90 MBT or AFV Club 1/35 M109 Paladin SPG ............ I know Trumpeter are good kits. But I know nowt about AFV Club ???
Have built Trumpeters T90 and would happily build it again, it is a great kit.

do you actually need a kit?

if i had 90 quid going spare at the moment id buy a new compressor and lots of after market stuff to go with the stash i already have and really stock up on paint

Don't know what Merit kits are like Peter, but how about this Tank Transporter with Tank, which is from that same ebay site that rickoshay posted.

Just a suggestion.

I have my eye on two Academy Phantoms he is selling....so it's probably just as well I won't be at model club on Monday or I'd end up buying one........or both!

He has a 1/32 Bronco that I like........ But I'm not sure I want to part with £55.00 .......... and a MKIV Tadpole tank. If he brings that I may have it.

One is the Da Nang version that you are doing despite my reservations regarding the fit issues you have run into.

The other was the Academy USN version or a basic Vietnam camo version, I don't recall. I really ought to do the Hasegawa RAF one I have in the loft first.

Hoping my replacement decals arrive this week so I can finish my Flight Test one off

I find myself in the fortunate position where I have £ 90 in my paypal account ....... I need to buy something. Normally, I wouldn't spent "Big Bucks" on a kit but .........This caught my eye........
BF109 G royal edition.

Kit contains 2 x Eduardo 1/48 kits , 2 sets of brassin resin parts , 2 sets of photo etch , 2 sets of masking , decals for I think 18 schemes . Beer glass , beer mat , real piece of a downed BF109 mounted on a plaque..........

Is it worth £ 60.00 ???? ...........

The other thought is maybe a "Long Arse" build ......... Maybe HMS Victory or KGV or HMS Hood .............

A proper Dilemma ??????
I recently bought the Profipack and the royal class as well. What I plan on doing is to correct the wing span on the profipack, and if that works out, do the rest for the royal class
