One of the things that got me back into this hobby are the great new 1:32 releases by Tamiya and Revell.

So what do you think might be next from these companies?

Tamiya have already produced what must be the definitive 1:32 Zero, Spitfire and Mustang kits and Revell those superb JU88 and HE111 kits.

So two questions:

What do you THINK they will produce next (other than different versions of the above types)?

What do you WANT them to come up with?

For me Revell is easy:

I think they will complete their Battle of Britain trio with a Dornier 17 but I would love to see a Wellington.

Tamiya is a lot harder:

I think they might do a ME109G (or FW190) but I would love a Hawker Sea Fury.

Well slightly off subject of 1/32.... I am looking forward to the Revell 1/72 Airbus A400M :)

A 1/48 Short Stirling would make me a happy bunny. I doubt I'll ever see one though.

TAMIYA NEED TO PRODUCE A 1/32 MK1 SPITFIRE!!!! TO COMPLETE THE BoB SET!

It's the most glaring omission from the 1/32 stable (the ancient Revell MK1 doesn't count, LOL)

Oh and a decent 1/32 JU87B circa BoB as well

That would make me a happy bunny.

I would also like to see a 1/35 Sexton as well: Bronco, Tasca any takers? (before I start my scartch build/conversion please!!!)

Barry: somehow I can see see the Do 17 happening in 1/32 - it would make perfect sense.

Cheers

Tamiya must look at the competition. I can't see them doing an Fw190 or Bf109 of any type, there are just too many out there including some good ones. Their 1/32 scale Spitfire didn't really have any stiff, modern, competition. I agree that a MkI must be on the cards.

A Sea Fury would be good. Only the Hobbycraft offering for competition (discounting the very good Fisher resin kit which isn't really a mass market item). They seem quite popular.
