discussion Whats group build?

As i see a lot of people that make models and stuff also doing it for gb i am woundering what it is and what it helps whit and so on. Can sombody pls explain what a gb is

A GB or Group Build is a build project where several people work on a common theme or subject: Build the same type Aircraft of tank, or build a subject theme like the Battle of the Bulge or the like.
Not sure it helps with anything, think of it like a club night, all sitting around building and helping, if needed, eachother.
