What's on the Bench 2025

Now I have to figure out a way to keep the load from falling off, then final paint & decals.

Determined blocking w/timber the best way to secure dozer as scale chain can be a pain in the butt and would require many attach points on dozer & trailer. I've supplied 13 points for other types of load.

I misspoke, this is a D8, w/6 cylinder diesel engine. The D9 was available in the mid 50s.

Sorry for lack of updates

Had a paint problem...... I used the green that was listed on the callout but it looked just so wrong.... Really light and 'greener'....... So i ended up redoing in this shade which looks better to my eye

Realized I never finished the Reclamation & Evacuation Section of the Automotive Platoon from the Ordinance Maintenance Battalion. Working M25 & two wreckers.

Thanks for watching guys, I have envisioned a couple M25s or an M25 & a heavy wrecker recovering a rolled over Sherman dio in the future.

Remember i said i had a poor record with biplanes....... Ive managed to maintain it lol........the enginge cowl is a rubbish fit....... I put the right wheel on the left leg and left wheel on right....... And then the top wing was skew whiff...... Grrrr

One day i will finish a biplane cos i love the look of them

So i got up this morning and for some reason got the idea in my head to do a helo..... Went out and bought one of these

Woman in model shop...... 'thats only just come in...... New reissue from airfix'

Me........ 'unfortuatly im old enough to remember doing it the first time it came out in the 70s'

A very apt description piloted by people with strangely wired brains..

This has surprised me how long its taking....... Poor fit of the two halfs didnt help..... Im at the fill sand repeat stage

Picked this up again........ Filler and sand a lot on the fuselage........ Cockpit glass is 3 bits that sort of vaguely go together........ Now ready for some primer

Looks interesting. Do you paint, varnish or leave the completed model au natural?

I leave in natural wood but i guess you could varnish

Ihave done a merrygoround that i 'painted' using felt tips that worked a treat
