Dear guys,

When my partner in crime (My wife is working on a car) told me that my favorite calipers (Which I use everyday on models) were used in the 40's to pull teeth out of people's heads I threw up in mouth a bit. Do any of the pros here have a tool that's really odd?

I would love to know.

Much love,

Michael

Mike is this, er, love thing a growing phenomena in the US ?

In the Uk we have a more simple direct rustic approach.

Worried Laurie.

Thinks what is his next move ?

An old kitchen wooden block which held knives. Renovated covered with foam.

Now used to support parts or the model itself to enable work at different angles without distress to the model & the operator's, me, eyes.

Lash the bits to the block with masking tape. Tres handy.

Wonderful eros.

Laurie

Jazz, I WANT ONE!!!!! :) Oh God Ian, your making my skin crawl. Are you talking about a prawl

Much Love,

Mike

OK, so serious side now...

I got these years ago from a second hand shop thinking they'd be useful for snipping wire etc, now for the GAG factor, they are actually

TOE NAIL clippers...

Don't worry they have been cleaned thoroughly, very useful for cutting the plastic up that holds the model parts ...

So is that weird enough for you...

I think you will find that those are small artery forceps. The thing for pulling teeth are much more chunky...

Joyous salutations

Yep they'd be Hemostats ... we use the 12 inch versions for feeding hatchling snakes, saves getting nipped :)

Huge big wet sloppy kisses

Damn,

You guys rock. All I know is that I was told that they were used for ripping out teeth. But artery forceps. Blood. Needles.

As for the toenail tool, I must have one. I looks like an instrument of torment and death. lol

You guys rock

Much Love,

Michael
