Hi guys,
I'm putting some tiny bits of etch together for my 111,I glued some bits together with Locktite last night, picked it up just now... And it fell apart...
Anyone suggest a glue that will actually keep it stuck please?!!
Any thoughts much appreciated :thumb2:

Loctite CA glue? That ought to have done it.

Solder is obviously the bomb, but CA should work fine for anything non structural. I've started to give the parts a good clean & sanding or scratching with a blade (advice from Scottie if I recall) and it has helped a lot.

I’ve started using this for small bits of etch…I know it’s for canopies, but the bond is less prone to the bond being affected by finger grease.

VMS make a CA specifically for pe. It is reckoned to be flexible and less prone to damage. I've used it and it seems to work. I always slightly roughen the pe and the attachment point to help with adhesion.

I use the VMS flexi stuff and it does the job for me. like Jim I also rough the shiny stuff up a bit…..definitely helps!

I always use Loctite - just make sure the part is free of grease - either wipe with IPA, or pass through a lighter flame

I also find locktite power gel good. A few seconds wriggle room and a slightly flexible bond make it easy to use. Failing that, five minute Devcon is great……

Sounds like a grease problem. As others have said Big structural bit solder them small fiddly bits clean in acetone/thinners/IPA immediately prior to CA, Burnishing helps.
A thin PVA type glue is also good for things that are glued flat on a surface. Gorilla grip glue was my go to. I believe they've gone bust though.
