That looks the nuts.
Thanks Boss and in the end, I was pretty wowed myself when I saw the results!!!:surprised: And I mean that in a good way.
You are too kind Pete!!! It was the only way I could do it. It wasn't easy and my brain kept saying something like, "are you totally stupid Dude? You're gonna ruin this expensive kit..."That's brilliant Allen, really well done. You're a brave man to paint lozenge camo.
Pete
Thanks Neil! I guess now, I am to lozenge camo, what you are to miniature surgery in our hobby!!! You just do it better, Sir...SECONDED!
Not sure Mr. Smiff, but you may be confusing it with the word 'Turded'...That's what my fusillier-lage (what ever) would have been if I had screwed it up with the paint job. Thanks Andy!!!...... and THIRDED...is that even a word?!!!![]()
Yours or mine, Bro!!! Sorry Paul (Coat on, door found)...It did come out better than I thought it would...With a big sigh of relief...That looks the nuts.
Thanks Jim! Scared...Yes, but really glad it's over and done with. Oh wait, I still have to do the cowlings around the motor...Definitely a success. That paint job is not for the faint hearted.
You and me both, Jakko!!! I thought I would ruin it too. It's not over yet though. Thanks for looking in...Very nicely done. I was worried you would be ruining the model with the hand-painted lozenges, but the overspray suddenly pulls it all together so it works.
Appreciated Buddy and don't worry. Matron is over on your side of the pond, looking for you, as we speak!!!Don't have to sweat putin' on my shades ....that toned right down. Well done Allen, Allen ,Allen!.......sorry, triple post.![]()
Ahoy Mark!!! Sorry, I couldn't resist that one. I'm afraid your great etch work is so much better than my hairy stick work, hands down Sir!!! Thanks for the kind words my friend...Your certainly doing this kit justice Allen great work ,love the paint job :thumb2:
Believe it or not Andy, your painting that Teeny, tiny fig and having followed Tim's lawn ornament work, inspired me to 'just do it'!!! Thank you for that. Mine was a bit bigger and easier to paint though....Bravo Allen. That's some dedication but the results are more than worth it!

Thanks my friend! It does have its moments though, Rick. It did turn out better than expected, but a bit too light on the over coat...Still.... it's a beautiful thang!! :thumb2:
I thought about that Paul and I still may try it before the weathering. Actually, I could just leave it and claim Hans, Rudy and Uwe were having a bad day when they painted it. Maybe gives it a bit of character too!!!...Lovely work Allen. Really taking shape. You could try joining the lines and taking the step out with a small amount of paint.
Thanks so much Mick! Having a great time....Not really...It’s looking really smart Allen
Thanks Dude 2! The old college try is starting to pay off I think...Most impressive Dude 1.
Heading in the right direction.

Might a mist coat on the wings give a better match to your excellent work on the fuselage? There were 2 thoughts about this after the test...I took it back apart before I broke something and thought the Fusi and the bridge misted color was way too light compared with the wing colors. I realized I should have misted a coat of Desert Yellow on it, instead of the Deck Tan. I have an idea how to tone it down without losing the hex job. T
Maybe the wings got a new fabric applied because of wear but the fuselage hasn’t?thought the Fusi and the bridge misted color was way too light compared with the wing colors. I realized I should have misted a coat of Desert Yellow on it, instead of the Deck Tan.
