Jim it's not beyond repair, gets some 1 mill plasticard cut a thin strip off and join the break with it, then mix some talcum with superglue (it makes an excellent filler) spread it over the join then sand smooth (you have to work quick with the filler but it's easy to sand)

Yeah you can fix that no problem with plasticard. It will just take time. Sounds like you are allowing too much paint to hit the part in one go? It's hard to spray with a can if the parts are more intricate but light mist coats until it builds up is the way to go. The more mistakes made the more lessons learnt. Have a look at the Ferrari I did. I recovered it from similar to this this but it took time. I learned a lot!

Keep going with it. :)

thanks ken, not tampering with paint any more still got the japanse decale to stick on the cowling and fuel tank with the help of micro sol and micro set, then test cheap lacquer on crap peice of spruce which i painted one half red and the other half black and see what happen tomorrow and see what reaction it has on the two colours if all clear i'll spray all parts if not i'll get halfords lacquer.:D

Good save! looks well Jim........My birthday in a couple of weeks.....hope I've left enough "not so subtle" hints around the house about wanting a Yoshi'Busa !!

coops nice bike to build but my advice stick all the little bit on first, I used halfords spray paint volkswagon diamond black pearlescent and volkswagon canyon red pealescent and red primer and gray primer to make the colour stand out red for the red pearl gray for the black pearl just like tamiya paint acrylic spray every thing the colour what the instructions tell you then sand down the area that is not covered and spray second colour primer after you masked off the first colour and my other advice don't use their masking of tape it makes the paint work look bloody awful when you peal it off I use pin stripe tape, the one for customizing real cars, but it's the thin type masking tape, tape out the pattern with that, then use masking tape, the one that painters and decorators use, put it on top off the pin stripe tape that way you won't get the sticky stuff left behind by the tape, when you come to peal it off that is what I used. p.s I hand pin stripped the gold leaf tamiya x-12 and tamiya x-1 the black lines with out using pin stripe tape. ps everyone I am an idiot I sprayed 1 part the wrong side so nowI got to sand it down primer it again and spray it pearl black otherwise it looks crap and now I got to get rid off this seam and the other seams ps. dropped and scratched paint if you look carefully at cowling tried touching up with paint but made it worse. 3rd pic from bottom.

Thanks for the heads up..........
I'm not going do it as per the box, I'm also wanting a Katana GSX1100 and a Blackbird to do as a set.....no more clues!
I also fly RC stuff and have always believed that a crash/mistake is a learning and upgrade opportunity ;)
