hi all sorry for not being on here, lately like an idiot I spilt black paint on cowling again after painting german tank man, had to rub down passed laquer and spray primer grey and red then the two top coat the red, then black pearlesecents now finished with cowling waiting for laquer to dry out then put all together for the finish so here is up date so far. do you mean cowling coops or the actual frame the from comes chrome but the cowling I used cheap laquer and car polish as well from £1.00 land

The frame when you by, the model it comes all ready chrome. The cowling you have to paint it yourself :D

thanks ken and pete now going to use acitate to make head light covers hope it works as the headlight covers that came with the kit did not fit after i sprayed, the cowling they went all smeary so i'm going to use acitate instead
 
What did you spray it with Jim, in fact why did you spray it with anything.

halfords primer grey and red and halfords volkwagon black diamond pearlescent and volkswagon canyon red pearlescent then laquar then car polish to shine ken why ? :confused:.

I'm talking about the lenses why even spray them, I can understand dipping them in klear but why spray them with anything.

no glued the original headlight lens covers, and they turned smeary as i could not get them into the slot to hold in place with out gluing them that's how they turned smeary, so instead I used acitate as lens cover and glued that in place from in side the cowling and used the placstic part that slides over the headlight to hold it in place. that's how ken :D
 
Did you use super glue a big no, no it always goes cloudy you need planning glue or specific glue for clear plastic, revel do one, I'm sure their are others

revell glue along the edge of the lens it went smeary instantly this is what i got ken

Revell do a glue especially for clear parts him it comes with a handy brush to apply it too.

ok i'll look for it next bike build ken ho by the way cousin ken said when are you going to visit aunt win and he'll meet you there
